ANDREZA JORGE

Dancer, researcher, activist, and consultant on gender, race, sexuality, masculinities, cultural studies, and territory, from Nova Holanda in Rio de Janeiro’s Complexo da Maré. Holds a degree in Dance from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), a Master’s in Ethnic-Racial Relations, a PhD in Performing Arts from UFRJ, and a second PhD from the ASPECT program at Virginia Tech as a 2024 Mellon/ACLS Dissertation Innovation Fellow. Since 2016 she has coordinated the Mulheres ao Vento dance project and serves as Pedagogical Coordinator of the Casa das Mulheres project at Redes da Maré.
