MARIELA NOLES COTITO

Mariela Noles Cotito, M.A. is a Peruvian scholar, lawyer, university lecturer, and Afro-Peruvian rights advocate based in Lima. Her research and policy work focus on race, gender, and discrimination in Peru, with particular attention to Afro-Peruvian women’s organizing and the legal architecture of anti-Black racism in the Andean region. She has contributed to the design of national anti-discrimination instruments and writes regularly on representation, identity, and citizenship in contemporary Peru.
